Now the plot may sound similar to Dekaranger's 10th anniversary reunion movie but just bear with me here, okay?
In this team's 15th anniversary film/special, Kurumi is now fully human and both girls admitted to each other that they're lesbian and decide to move away from Nozomi's hometown to start a new life someplace else and live out in peace. The two girls (along with former teammates/friends Rin & Karen) got married to each other and the former pair gave birth to twin daughters while the latter adopted a young orphan girl as their little sister.
Now 15 years on from what was meant to be their final adventure, Nozomi, her happily married (and changed for the better) wife Kurumi and their twins, Kira and Sakura, return home to reunite with old friends and to settle down with a fresh mindset. However, things go awry when suddenly news reports reveal that Coco- their old fairy friend- has been sentenced to jail and Nuts has been hospitalized with near-critical injuries! However, it seems that Rin (who thanks to the innocence of her new younger sibling Katey has also changed her attitude for the better), Karen and her BFF Komachi has remained active since their departure and Rin has taken over in Nozomi's place as team leader. Not to mention that new recruits had been assigned to replace the two and fellow ex-teammate Urara as the new Cure Dream, Lemonade and Milky Rose! (...of which the latter of the three has since been rebranded as Cure Rose.)
Now, time is running out to find out the truth behind the case and clarify who's the real culprit and reunite the team before the perfect world that the girls envisioned long ago falls apart and gets smashed to pieces...
